The duplicate-database problem

Traditional ESPs require an external contact database, ongoing synchronization, API maintenance, multiple sources of truth, and fragmented reporting. Each sync is a place where consent, opt-outs, and field updates drift out of alignment.

RME removes the class of problem instead of managing it: there is one customer record, one communication history, and no synchronization.

Not a replacement for Marketing Cloud

RME is communications infrastructure, not a campaign design suite. Organizations that run large journey-based marketing programs can keep Marketing Cloud for campaigns and use RME for transactional, service, operational, and AI-generated communications that must originate in Salesforce and stay in Salesforce.
