Getting Started
This checklist takes a new workspace from empty configuration to a first controlled publication. Work through it in order — later steps depend on decisions made in earlier ones.
Setup order
Brand → Products → Audiences → Accounts and destinations
→ Campaign → Story → Review → Publication
Brand controls how RI speaks. Products control what RI can accurately claim. Audiences control which benefits and language are emphasised. Nothing downstream is reliable until those three are complete.
Checklist
- Confirm the correct workspace. Every campaign, story, asset, account, and publication belongs to a workspace. Confirm the active workspace before entering configuration.
- Complete Brand configuration. Voice, Tone, Positioning, Do Rules, Don't Rules, and Boilerplate. See Configure the Brand.
- Add and validate Products. Each product needs a canonical summary, the problems it solves, approved capabilities, and proof points. See Configure Products.
- Add and validate Audiences. Each audience needs a description, pains, goals, and language notes. See Configure Audiences.
- Configure social Accounts. Register the approved social identities for the workspace. See Accounts.
- Configure Buffer destinations. Map each approved account to a delivery destination. See Buffer Destinations.
- Verify media storage. Confirm tenant-scoped storage is active and asset verification is passing. See Media Storage.
- Configure content generation. Enable the master switch, confirm provider configuration and credential state, and set generation limits. See Content Generation.
- Review publication-safety settings. Confirm the dry-run posture and the active safety gates. See Publication Safety.
- Create the first campaign. Objective, audience, theme, call to action, landing URL, platforms, date range, and phase structure. See Campaigns.
- Add a grounded story. A source or source brief, campaign assignment, priority, and editorial angle. See Stories.
- Generate and review content. Produce channel drafts and visuals, then work the Review Queue.
- Schedule a controlled publication. Confirm the workspace timezone and destination on the Calendar.
- Verify the resulting execution. Confirm the outcome in Publications and the Buffer Execution Log.
Keep publication disabled until configuration and acceptance checks pass. Readiness reporting itself generates, approves, schedules, and publishes nothing — enabling publication is a separate, deliberate decision.
Acceptance checks before enabling publication
- Readiness reports no blocked checks.
- Brand, Products, and Audiences are complete and reviewed.
- At least one campaign is grounded with an audience, theme, CTA, landing URL, platforms, and an active phase.
- At least one story has a usable source snapshot and an approved current version.
- Every destination in use maps to an account owned by the workspace.
- Approved visual assets are verified in storage.
